Cornerstone recommends a one-piece top-entry valve with an integral ball/trunnions stem to assure control, alignment, and maximum pipe stress resistance during installation.

Cornerstone routinely designs its valves to exceed the API 6A PSL 3 requirements. Multiple hydro tests, extended test periods, and multiple seat cycling at full-rated working pressures assure fitness for service. We also monogram valves to API6DSS standard, as of 2017.
Skimping on best-practices in design features can result in man-eating intervention costs. Subsea valves sit for long periods of time without being operated and are exposed to saltwater, galvanic corrosion, and oil and gas with particulates. Consequently, careful selection of valve materials is crucial.

A customer asked Cornerstone to help resolve a problem in accessing their subsea pig launcher/receiver skids.
They could not control the exact orientation of the skid in 5000 foot water depth. The un-predictablility of working at this depth meant that the ROV buckets on the valves might end up facing the bottom – making them inaccessible.
Cornerstone designed and manufactured valves with dual stems/ROV buckets allowing for multi-orientation accessibility. Problem solved!
